Russian frigate sails away to the Indian Ocean
Project 11356 class frigate Admiral Grigorovich of the Russian Navy has left the Mediterranean Sea and is bound for the Indian Ocean.
“Frigate Admiral Grigorovich together with the rescue tugboat Professor Nikolai Muru began the Suez Canal Southbound transit. The crews of the frigate and the rescue ship of the Black Sea Fleet proceeding to the Indian Ocean to show the flag of the Russian Federation, ”the press office stated.
Project lead ship 11356 "Admiral Grigorovich" has a speed of up to 30 knots, has a displacement of approximately four thousand tons, and endurance is 30 days. The frigate's main weapon is the Kalibr-NK missile system, which can hit naval targets up to 400 kilometers away, and land targets – up to 2,000 kilometres.
