Ozata Shipyard signs three new contracts in the first half of 2019!

Ozata Shipyard has signed three new contracts for various fishing vessels with different buyers from Norway.

The contract for the first vessel is signed with NYE RADEK AS on the 30th of May. NB66 reference numbered pelagic trawler, purse seiner, Danish seiner vessel is planned to be delivered on the 3rd quarter of 2021. 48.6 meters long and 12.6 meters wide, RADEK named vessel is designed by Kongsberg Maritime CM AS. The vessel will be built according to Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) rules and will have a trade area Deepsea II.

The contract for the second vessel is signed with VEA AS on the 12th of July. NB67 reference numbered 67.6 meters long trawler / purse seiner fishing vessel is designed by Sawicon AS. VEA named vessel is planned to be delivered on the 3rd quarter of 2021. This fishing vessel will be built according to DNV-GL class +1A1, E0, Fishing Vessel, and shall comply with Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD) rules and regulations for fishing vessels.

 

The third vessel’s contract is signed on 16th of July with VIDJENES AS. Julie Pauline named and NB68 reference numbered 44.6 meters long Danish seiner and purse seiner vessel is designed by Seacon AS. The beam of the vessel is 9.5 meters and the depth is 4.3 meters to the main deck. The vessel will be built according to NMA rules and will have a trade area Deepsea II. Julie Pauline is planned to be delivered on 2nd quarter of 2021.

 

It was a strategic step taken by the shipyard management to move to the Norwegian market, where the ship owners’ wishes were different, and the fishing vessels were unique since every ship built at Ozata Shipyard has different characteristics. As a result, Ozata Shipyard continues its high quality and coordinated work.
