Locks of Volga-Baltic Administration is over

The 2020 shipping season through the locks of the IWW's Volga-Baltic Administration of Russia is over.

On November 26, the last operation was conducted at the Upper Svir lock, according to the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency's press center.

The length of the season was 216 days. The Volga-Baltic Administration maintains 11 locks and more than a hundred shipping systems for hydraulic engineering.

The amount of ships passing the locks-62,000, the amount of locking operations-35,000.
