The company, a joint venture between Uyeno Transtech, Sumitomo, Yokohama Kawasaki International Port Corporation and the Development Bank of Japan, held a naming and launching ceremony.

The Ecobunker Tokyo Bay is a multi-bunker vessel capable of both LNG and VLSFO bunkering.

The 95,5-metre-long vessel is capable of storing 2,500 cubic meters of chilled oil. It also has a capacity of 1,500 cbm VLFSO.

The organization has also pledged to continue to promote environmentally friendly bunker fuel with the goal of contributing to the development of Tokyo Bay as one of the world's leading LNG bunker hubs.

Despite the consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, a limited number of participants took part in the naming and launching ceremony.
