Holland America Line announces the extension operational pause

As Holland America Line continues to prepare and improve its plans to comply with the Conditional Sailing Order, the company announced that it is extending its cruise operations pause until April 30, 2021 for all departures.

Pause of operatons includes Alaska, Mexican Riviera, Pacific Coast, Caribbean, Mediterranean and Canada/New England departures. The line will also cancel all Alaska cruises through mid-May, Alaska departures through early June on three ships, any Land + Sea Journeys linked to canceled Alaska sailings, Mediterranean cruises through early June, and Canada/New England itineraries through August.

Cruises affected by this in-operation pause are:

  • All cruise departures through April 30, 2021.
  • Alaska: Eurodam and Oosterdam through the first week of June; Koningsdam through mid-May; Nieuw Amsterdam and Noordam through mid-May; and Zuiderdam though early June 
  • Mediterranean: Volendam cruises through early June ; Westerdam though early June
  • Canada/New England: Zaandam cruises through August
