Damen launches two eco-friendly tugs for Port of Zeebrugge

Shipbuilder Damen launched two 85-ton bollard pull ASD Tugs 2813 for Boluda Towage Europe at Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam.

All tugs complying with the most recent IMO Tier III emission requirements are planned for use in the port of Zeebrugge as part of the expanded concession for towage services.

The new tugs will be named VB Bolero and VB Rumba and will be attached to Boluda Towage Europe's fleet of 81 tugs currently operating in Belgium , the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom.

New tugs are expected to be delivered in December 2020.
