The new building was delivered by South Korean Hyundai Heavy Industries on 4 January 2021. From 2020 to 2023, it is the second of seven sister ships to be delivered.

The carrier was chartered for a term of up to 12 years by BP Shipping.

Aristidis I has 174,000 cubic metres of cargo space. The highly efficient vessel is operated by XDF engines and fitted with the latest technology available, including an air lubrication system and expanded filling limits (more than 99 per cent).

A fleet of seven LNG carriers with a total carrying capacity of approximately 1,2 million cubic meters is currently owned by the Greek shipping company, a unit of Capital Maritime Group.
