Samsung Heavy delivers new member of GasLog fleet
With the supply of GasLog Galveston, Greece-based LNG shipper GasLog has started to grow its fleet.
At the beginning of January, a vessel capable of carrying up to 174,000 cubic meters of chilled fuel was shipped.
On its maiden voyage, the vessel designed by the South Korean Samsung Heavy Industries yard had already departed.
GTT's Mark III Flex Plus containment system and WinGD's low-pressure two-stroke (X-DF) propulsion are features of the new design. It was released last year at the end of May.
It is the second ship ordered for the GasLog deal with the U.S. Exporter Cheniere of LNG. Under the deal, under a seven-year charter with Cheniere, both vessels will operate.
