Royal Caribbean extends cruise cancellations for four ships
The suspension of cruising by Royal Caribbean International has been extended through May, excluding sailings onboard Quantum, Spectrum, Voyager, and Odyssey of the Seas.
"Our plan is to resume further operation in June; however, the following circumstances have extended the suspension (of sailings)," Royal Caribbean said in its latest press release.
The good news is that the Quantum of the Seas will stay in the Asia-Pacific region, sailing short cruises from Singapore at the cost of her Alaska itinerary.
Sailings from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy on the Odyssey of the Seas have been canceled from May 9 to October 28, 2021. Instead, from June to October 2021, the Odyssey will sail from Haifa, Israel, to begin her first season. These new sailings are only open to Israeli citizens.
The Spectrum of the Seas could sail to China or other parts of Asia on short notice, while the Voyager of the Seas is still in Asia and ready to go if needed.
