Navigation season starts at Coal Sea Port of Shakhtersk
A navigation season has been opened at Shakhtersk Coal Sea Terminal, the East Mining Company's major sea terminal.
According to the stevedore, with the launching of a ship from S, the first batch of coal was loaded onto a 70,000 dwt Chinese ship. Korea is coming to a close.
A package of additional measures was undertaken at the port to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the Sakhalin region, the statement says. The organization fulfills all of the criteria set by federal and regional authorities.
The stevedoring company is expected to increase exports by 2020 to 10.6 million tonnes. The terminal handled 8.8 million tons of coal last year, an rise of 17 per cent year on year. East Mining Company plans to build up to 20 million tonnes 'annual shipments in the future.
East Mining Company is the biggest thermal coal producer in the Sakhalin region.
Solntsevsky coal mining site and Shakhtersk's coal seaport are the company's main production properties. The East Mining Company is currently implementing an investment project up to 12 million tons per year to develop coal production and shipping.
