MSC Grandiosa returns to sea on January 24
MSC Cruises announced today that on January 24, the MSC Grandiosa will return to the sea.
Following the most recent ministerial decree released by the Italian government and the related updated health initiatives, the vessel will resume the scheduled weekly cruises scheduled to leave Genoa, Italy every Sunday, calling at the Italian ports of Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo and Valletta in Malta.
The decree approved the resumption of cruise operations under the security of the health and safety protocol of MSC Cruises, which the Italian health, transport and safety authorities established and authorized last summer. Since then, more than 30,000 guests have been safely received by MSC Cruises on board its two ships based in Italy, the company said.
Italy-based cruise operations were temporarily suspended during the Christmas and New Year period before the issuance of the latest ministerial decree due to the restrictive measures laid down by local authorities relating to the movement of citizens within the region.
