Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng places an order for chemical tanker pair

Chinese domestic tanker owner Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng Shipping has ordered China Merchant Jinling Dingheng Shipbuilding to build two 7,490 dwt chemical tankers.

The ships are scheduled to be completed in 2021.

A chemical tanker is a type of tanker designed to transport chemical substances in bulk. Chemical tanker means a ship built or modified for bulk transport of any liquid product referred to in Chapter 17 of the International Bulk Chemical Code.

Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng operates primarily in the domestic coastal and Yangtze River tanker markets. Currently, the company operates a fleet of 11 tankers.
