Egypt conducts military exercise near the Libya border

In the midst of the region's growing tension, the Egyptian Army began a large-scale military exercise near the Libyan border, dubbed HASM-2020.

The Egyptian navy also conducted an amphibious assault exercises from the Mistral-class LHD within the framework of HASM-2020 using its landing crafts to deploy the SOF units & Mechanized troops on the shore with the assistance of Egyptian air force.

For several months, the Turkish Navy has deployed more than 7-8 Naval forces off the Libyan coast.

This exercise is concerned with the plans of Egyptian Armed Forces to demonstrate local security specialists presence in the area.
