Disney Wonder on her way to Florida
According to a statement from Portos da Madeira, the Disney Wonder is sailing to Port Canaveral fresh off a drydock in France and a technical stop for fuel and supplies in Funchal on Wednesday.
The ship made its inaugural call to Funchal, but according to local sources, it had no passengers on board and only 205 crew.
No crew left the vessel carrying provisions and fuel for its trans-Atlantic crossing. It is estimated that the 1999-built ship will arrive in Port Canaveral in early December.
On Jan. 6, The Wonder is next scheduled to sail. According to the Disney Cruise Line website, on a six-night Western Caribbean cruise from Galveston, Texas, with two days at sea, and calls to Grand Cayman and Cozumel, plus another day at sea on the way back to Texas.
