Each unit is valued at $126 million by brokers Intermodal. According to Alphaliner, the ships will be delivered in 2022 and 2023 and will be chartered to Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) for a long time.

Cido, a South Korean shipping giant with offices in Seoul and Hong Kong, exited the container market in 2017 when it sold ten ships to MPC Container Ships for $130 million in an en bloc contract.

According to online ship pricing site VesselsValue, Cido has a large fleet that includes nine bulkers, 22 tankers, three gas carriers, and 35 car carriers.
