Besiktas Group and Alba Tankers start a partnership

Besiktas, a shareholder of Sweden's Alba Tankers, aims to strengthen its presence in the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe with this partnership.

Besiktas went on the path of partnership with the Swedish headquarters of the world's leading tanker operators with Alba Tankers.

Besiktas Group, which has a long history in the maritime sector, was founded in 1960 by the Kalkavan family and entered the market with tanker transportation. Soon identified by major oil companies as a world-class tanker operator, the group also gained an important place in dry bulk cargo transportation worldwide.

Besiktas Shipyard is one of the top 10 companies in the world especially in maintenance repair with its giant facilities located in Yalova and Tuzla today. 

"Besiktas Group and Alba Tankers had developed a close relationship in recent years. This new partnership will further strengthen our presence in the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe," Chairman of the Board of Directors of Besiktas Group, Yavuz Kalkavan stated.

Alba is an Owner and Commercial Operator of Oil Tankers based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The main focus is below 20,000 Deadweight trading Petroleum Products, Chemicals and Vegetable Oils around North West Europe. Alba Tankers, one of the leading tanker operators in northern Europe, also provides refueling services at ports. The company has more than 16 ships in its fleet. 

Today, Besiktas Ship management is highly experienced and credited as a first class tanker manager by most of the Major Oil Companies. Besiktas Ship Management has also good reputation on the transportation of dry bulk cargoes by serving major commodity traders.
