St. Lawrence Cruise Lines receives Safe Travel stamp

Ahead of the 2021 cruising season, St. Lawrence Cruise Lines has announced it has been awarded the Safe Travels stamp accreditation.

A+A-

The Safe Travels stamp is an international icon intended to help travelers identify businesses around the world that have adopted uniform global health and hygiene protocols - designed to ensure that according to the cruise line, travelers can travel safely.

The company said the accreditation was the result of strengthened policies for health and safety that were created and enacted for its fall cruise schedule.

The interventions include guest screening, decreased passenger loads, physical distancing, masking, and a ship-wide disinfectant program and are unique to overnight small ship cruising within Canada.

The Safe Travels stamp is awarded in Ontario by collaboration between the Ontario Association of Tourism Industry and the World Travel and Tourism Board.

“We are delighted to confirm St. Lawrence Cruise Lines has been awarded the Safe Travels stamp. Across Canada, tourism businesses big and small are doing all they can to offer Canadians the perfect vacation. More and more Canadians are looking closer to home to escape from the challenges of the pandemic and rediscovering their own provinces," stated Beth Potter, TIAO President and CEO.
