Recognizing the importance of ensuring that foreign trade and the supply flow to Singapore remain uninterrupted in the midst of the pandemic, MPA continues to facilitate crew changes through a 'safe corridor' for ships of all flags and crew of different nationalities.

MPA has partnered with unions, industry, and international partners on protocols for crew transition that protect both seafarers and the local community.

MPA has facilitated 100,000 sign-on and sign-off crews of all nationalities from ships of various flags, involving more than 5,000 companies and 6,700 ships, since 27 March 2020.
