Acquired by Tennor in September, the management of the shipyard will go to an experienced specialist who has held numerous management roles in the maritime sector.

Most recently, Maracke was a member of the management board of the German Naval Yards in Kiel, where the 40-year-old gained extensive experience in the naval shipbuilding industry. Another of his main competences lies in buying.

An significant first move will be to evaluate which types of ships will allow the shipyard to operate on the market economically effectively.

“In the course of its long history, the FSG has repeatedly proven itself to be a pioneer in innovative shipbuilding and thus possesses great technical know-how. I want to build on this foundation and, together with the strong, motivated team, create something new," commented Maracke.
