As part of our rail-sea offering to customers, this marks the first special blocktrain from Jinhua to Ningbo by MSC, the company announced.

MSC has been providing rail-sea services to customers exporting goods from Jinhua via Ningbo since 2016, but this is the first time MSC has operated a dedicated blocktrain service between the two locations.

Jinhua, located in eastern China, is a national logistics center and an important gateway to inland cities on the southeast coast of the province of Zhejiang.

In Jinhua, MSC is the first worldwide shipping line to deliver a rail-sea solution.

Jinhua shippers can rely on MSC to transfer their cargo to Ningbo on a daily basis via rail service, which takes about 11 hours.

This gives them greater reliability and greater performance, particularly when long distance haulage is involved. Because of the lower level of carbon emissions and energy consumption compared to trucking goods from JinHua to Yiwu and then to Ningbo, this mode of transport is also more environmentally friendly.

The railway connects the terminal directly, providing a seamless connection to MSC vessels, which then ship the goods to destinations around the world.
