Krasnoye Sormovo to build three RSD59 design ships

Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard (a United Shipbuilding Corporation company) based in Nizhny Novgorod has been selected to build three more RSD59 ships

Building costs for each ship would reach RUB 937.2 million according to the single supplier's procurement documents. 

State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) ordered ships to be delivered by May-June 2022. 

Krasnoye Sormovo PJSC was founded in 1849 and is one of the oldest shipbuilding companies in Russia.

Over the 75-year period, Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard has designed and modernized over three hundred submarines and rescue vehicles including 25 nuclear ones. Today, Krasnoye Sormovo is building commercial fleet vessels which meet the requirements of international conventions on safety and reliability.
