Future Horizon receives Avenir Advantage from Avenir LNG

Avenir LNG has said it has delivered LBV Avenir Advantage to its owner, Future Horizon.

Avenir LNG, a Stolt-Nielsen, Hoegh LNG and Golar LNG joint venture, recalled that the vessel had been chartered to Petronas for a three-year term.

Keppel Offshore & Marine, at the Nantong Shipyard, Jiangsu Province , China, constructed the Avenir Advantage, a dual-purpose LNG bunkering and supply vessel. Avenir Advantage became the first dedicated LBV in South East Asia with the announcement of its charter deployment for Petronas.

The vessel will supply LNG to fuel vessels operating in the area and will directly carry LNG to small-scale Petronas customers.

It is the first of two ships ordered from the Shipyard of Keppel Nantong. With two Type C tanks, each vessel has a cargo capacity of 7,500 cbm.

Avenir LNG is currently constructing a fleet of six 7,500 cbm and 20,000 cbm LBVs and a 10,800 cbm (HIGAS LNG) import facility in Sardinia, Italy.
