France’s GTT to build two storage tanks for China
France's GTT has secured an order to build two storage tanks for the Tianjin Nangang LNG terminal at Beijing Gas Group in China.
The expert in containment of LNG received a contract from China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering.
GTT said the 220,000-cbm tanks would become China's largest land storage tanks.
GST technology developed by the French company will feature the membrane full containment tanks.
This order follows on from the deal between GTT and the Chinese state-owned Beijing Enterprises Group (BEG) signed in November last year.
City gas distributor Beijing Gas, a BEG company, is constructing an LNG import terminal of 5 million tons per year in the Industrial Zone south port of Tianjin.
The receiving LNG terminal will be a peak-shaving emergency reserve facility.
