Carnival Corporation to delay remaining 2021 deliveries

On Monday, Carnival Corporation announced that it plans to deliver only one more ship in fiscal 2021, compared with five ships originally scheduled for delivery in fiscal 2021.

The remaining ship to join the fleet of Carnival Corporation in 2021 is generally expected to be Holland America's Rotterdam, although the company in its earnings press release did not elaborate on delivery dates or ships.

The AIDAcosma, Seabourn Venture and Costa Toscana, plus the Discovery Princess, were also other ships previously scheduled to join the company's global fleet in 2021.

Arnold Donald, CEO of Carnival Corp, said the company had arranged delays for 16 ships, speaking about the fourth quarter earnings call for the company.
