Singapore plans to add two more LNG bunkers to its fleet

The Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) has announced plans to double the number of suppliers of liquefied natural gas ( LNG) bunkers by February 2021.

A+A-

The MPA launched a Request for Proposal ( RFP) on 28 October 2020 for companies seeking to supply LNG bunkers at the Port of Singapore.

Up to two additional LNG bunker supplier permits will be provided by MPA to support the increasing demand for LNG bunkers in the Port of Singapore.

The closing date for proposals to be submitted to the MPA is 15 December 2020.

An end-to - end LNG bunkering approach must be included in the proposal, which should include details of its LNG production and distribution model, its LNG sources and its LNG bunker marketing strategy.

The MPA is scheduled to announce the award of new LNG bunker supplier licenses by February 2021.

There are currently two licensed LNG bunker suppliers in the Port of Singapore — FueLNG Pte Ltd and Pavilion Energy Singapore Pte Ltd.
