Lindblad Expeditions appoints new managers
Lindblad Expeditions today announced it has named Thomas S. Smith, Jr. and Sarah Farrell to serve as the company's independent managers.
Tad Smith has a long history of influential leadership positions, including his most recent position as President and CEO of Sotheby's (NYSE), where he established and implemented a positive growth plan that culminated in his sale in October 2019 for $3.7 billion.
Sarah Farrell is a partner at ValueAct Capital, an investment company based in San Francisco. Farrell joined ValueAct in August 2018, having worked as an analyst in the Private Equity division at Blackstone. Farrell had been an analyst at J.P prior to Blackstone. Morgan served as an equity research associate in the investment banking division of UBS, in the Mergers & Acquisitions department.
"Lindblad's Board has always been a great source of wisdom for our management team in all ways and adding two new members with distinct backgrounds and experiences simply adds to an already solid Board. Sarah's and Tad's diverse talents provide not only great governance but also helpful guidance and insights for our team," said Sven Lindblad, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lindblad.
