Chinese dry bulk owner Jinhui Shipping sells ageing supramax

The 2002-built supramax bulker Jin Ping was sold for $5.5m by Chinese dry bulk owner Jinhui Shipping and Transportation.

The vessel was sold to Xinfeng HK Shipping, a subsidiary of Xiamen Xinfeng Shipping, the Chinese owner, with delivery scheduled for 5 February 2021 at the latest. The sale price is marginally higher than VesselsValue's $5.1m valuation put on the ship.

A fleet of two post-panamax bulkers and 17 supramaxes is currently operated by Jinhui, while Xinfeng owns four smaller vessels with a volume of approximately 8000 dwt.
