Carnival Sensation rescues 24 people onboard
According to a statement, the Carnival Sensation came to the assistance of a small ship that was in distress in international waters 37 miles off the Palm Beach, Florida, coast.
The Carnival Sensation maneuvered alongside the craft after seeing the boat in the water and provided the 24 people onboard with blankets, life jackets, food and water, including individuals from different nationalities and two children.
As the boat started to take on water, all 24 passengers were saved and taken on board by the Carnival Sensation crew.
They were then examined by the medical team of Carnival Sensation and were quarantined away from the crew members.
Carnival said that all appropriate authorities, including the United States Coast Guard (USCG), had been informed and a cutter was sent to the scene by the USCG to rescue the 24 people.
