World's longest cruise starts her 245-day-long journey

The world’s longest continuous cruise has begun her eight-month trip, which will end in London.

Viking Cruises has just launched its "Ultimate World Cruise". World-record breaking ship will visit six continents, 51 countries and 111 ports. The Viking Sun cruise ship set sail from Martime, Greenwich, in London and her journey will also end in the same place. The trip includes ports in Scandinavia, the Caribbean and destinations throughout South America. Scotland, Norway, the Caribbean, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Austrailia, Thailand, Malta and Spain  are also on the list. Tickets are starting from £66,990 (€80,962). 

If all goes well, the cruise would break the Guinness World Record for “longest continuous passenger cruise".
