World’s largest LNG bunkering ship arrived to Rotterdam

The LNG bunkering vessel Gas Agility reached Holland Amerikakade near Cruiseport Rotterdam on Friday 18 September.

The vessel was moored for the christening ceremony. Gas agility is 135.5 meters long and is the world's largest LNG bunkering vessel according to owner Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL).

The ship was constructed at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding shipyard near Shanghai and is owned by Total, a French company. The vessel will be active mostly in Northern Europe.

At least for the next decade, Gas Agility will provide sea-going vessels with LNG (liquiefied natural gas), including CMA CGM 's nine new Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCVs). These are the first container vessels with 23b,000-TEU (twenty-foot equivalent) operated by LNG.
