Vladimir Putin attends keel-laying ceremonies for new Russian warships

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Zaliv shipyard during his work trip to Crimea. The president placed the keel-laying plaque on the first section of the Ivan Rogov multifunctional landing ship.

Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov, Deputy Defense Minister Aleksey Krivoruchko and RF Navy Commander Nikolay Yevmenov had fixed the keel-laying plaque on the first section of the multipurpose landing ship Mitrofan Moskalenko.

In addition, the keel-laying ceremony of the nuclear-powered submarines Voronezh and Vladivostok was attended by Vladimir Putin via video link with Severodvinsk and the frigates Admiral Yumashev and Admiral Spiridonov via video link to St. Petersburg. General director of  Sevmash Mikhail Budnichenko and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov spoke at the ceremonies.

Vladimir Putin had a talk with the workers at the shipyard upon completion of the ceremony.
