Technomar boxship heads for repairs after refloating

The Tina 1 boxing ship was refloated and disentangled eight days ago from the Iranian wreck it crashed into.

On November 22, the 5,576 TEU container ship landed off Batam in Indonesia, scything into another grounded boxship.

The Tina 1, owned and chartered by Technomar Shipping of Greece to Maersk, ploughed into the wreck of the boxing ship Shahraz, having left Singapore for Jakarta.

After a collision with an Indonesian bulk carrier, the Shahraz has been stuck in the same place since May 10 when it grounded, buckling in the process.

The Tina 1 is being towed to a nearby anchorage by a Swire towboat, Pacific Wrangler, where it will be inspected before likely going for repairs.
