South Korea bans dangerous cargos from Ulsan Port Terminals

After the tanker fire, Ulsan Port Authority is being careful and bans cargos which contains dangerous substances from being transported or unloaded from vessels at several terminals

According to Yonhap news agency, the decision was made by the administration of Ulsan, regional fisheries agency and the port administration.

The Ulsan Port Authority prohibited the transportation and unloading of cargos which contains dangerous substances, including different types of oils and gases, at several terminals located under the Ulsan Bridge.

A representative of the Ulsan administration has stated that the ban was aimed at protecting people who used the Ulsan bridge from a possible large-scale catastrophe in the future. After the tanker fire, authority took new precaution.
