Oil tanker caught fire at Nigeria

Nigerian Navy has rescued the crew from burning onboard oil tanker "Sea Voyager"

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency confirmed that product tanker "Sea Voyager" caught fire on Aug 15 while being anchored at Lagos Anchorage, Nigeria. The fire completely put out and all seamen on board were successfully rescued by the Nigerian Navy.

NIMASA did not give  details on damages extent and on tanker’s status at the time of an accident. In January last year, the 6,700 dwt Sea Voyager was involved in another incident when it ran aground off Warri, in oil-rich Niger Delta.
