Hyundai Heavy secures order for two LNG carriers

As a part of the Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, Hyundai Heavy Industries has secured an order for two LNG carriers on Monday.

The order is estimated at 425 billion South Korean won ($375 million) in its regulatory filing, KSOE said. An unidentified European company placed the order.

The delivery of the two vessels is scheduled for August 2023.

Up to 174,000 cubic meters of chilled fuel will be able to transport the boats. An option for two extra LNG tankers is included in the contract.
