Hindustan Shipyard to build two DSVs for Indian Navy

Hindustan Shipyard in India has announced that it is expected to sign a contract with the Indian Navy to build two Diving Support Vessels (DSVs) within two months.

Rear Admiral LV Sarat Babu, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan, announced that the order could exceed 2.050 crore (US$ 298 million).

Hindustan Shipyard Ltd., located on the east coast of the Indian peninsula, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is the nation's leading shipbuilding company for shipbuilding, ship repair, naval construction and refitting requirements, as well as the design and construction of state-of - the-art offshore and onshore structures.

In addition, Hindustan is constructing four navy tugs, each with a 50 ton bollard tow.
