Golden Phoenix and Kuzey Marine Launch Ship Finance & New Building Program for Regional Shipowners

Hong Kong–based Golden Phoenix and Turkey’s Kuzey Marine Insurance Brokers (kuzeyas.com) have announced the launch of a new Ship Finance & New Building program designed to support shipowners seeking fleet renewal and new investment opportunities.

The initiative connects Hong Kong financing channels with shipbuilding capacity in Mainland China and South Korea, focusing on vessel projects in the USD 15–20 million range.

The financing package includes long-term loan structures, competitive interest profiles and project-based assessments offered by Hong Kong banks and leading leasing companies. The program also provides refinancing solutions aimed at improving cash flow and reducing borrowing costs for existing vessels.

Under the initiative, Golden Phoenix facilitates access to ship finance and yard engagement, while Kuzey Marine provides insurance, risk management and legal advisory throughout the project lifecycle. The scope covers 5,000 GT dry cargo vessels, **tugboats, and various commercial vessel types, including newbuilding and refinancing cases in China and South Korea.

Company representatives state that the program is expected to support rising demand for fleet renewal across Turkey, the Black Sea region, and the Eastern Mediterranean, offering shipowners a streamlined model that combines accessible finance with reliable shipyard and project support.
