Georgian president Zurabishvili visits French navy warship in Batumi

The Commandant Birot, one of the patrol ships of the French Navy, is making a port call in Batumi on Georgia’s Black Sea coast on November 22-25.

The vessel is visiting Batumi in the frames of French-Georgian defense cooperation. Zurabishvili described this port call  as“it is something that demonstrates the close partnership between France and Georgia”.

Tornike Rizhvadze, Head of Regional Government of Adjara, commented that such visits are of great importance for Georgia on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

"Commandant Birot" will end its port call on November 25, after a naval drill with Georgian border police personnel and special operative forces.
