General cargo vessel bound for Turkey ran aground in Russia

Maltese-flagged MIR JALAL PASHAYEV ship which has been built in 2006 has ran aground at River Don.

The accident occurred when the vessel was proceeding downstream from Rostov to Azov sea with cargo of sunflower cakes. According to reports the vessel is bound for Turkey. The vessel is still aground, attempting to refloat with the help of two tugs. There is no information about the damages.
