French LNG terminal operator Elengy puts Fos Cavaou LNG capacity on offer

Elengy and its affiliate Fosmax LNG, a French LNG terminal operator, have opened a call for space subscriptions at the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal.

The Fos Cavaou 2021 open season has been launched in response to a high level of consumer interest expressed in recent months.

The aim is to free up additional primary capacity through technological and regulatory debottlenecking, as well as to extend capacity beyond 2030.

There will be two stages of the open season. The first step will consist of a non-binding call for interest that will last three months. The second is a binding open season, which is set to take place in the second semester of 2021.

The first step should accurately determine consumer needs, while the second should conduct a market test based on the parties' binding commitments.

The open season Fos Cavaou 2021 is now open for registration.

This is an opportunity for LNG market participants to subscribe to long-term regasification capacity with a major operator in a strategic position on the Mediterranean coast, in the Marseille-Fos port's industrial region.

Fos Cavaou provides access to all European gas markets as well as small-scale opportunities in a strategically important Mediterranean region.
