Diana Shipping to sell one of its capesize dry bulk vessel

Diana Shipping Inc announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Agreement to sell one of the capsize dry bulk of its fleet.

Diana Shipping Inc has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Agreement through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary to sell the 2006-built vessel Sideris GS to an unaffiliated third party, with delivery to the purchaser no later than January 20, 2021, at a pre-commission sale price of US$ 11.5 million.

The m/v Coronis, Diana Shipping Inc. 's fleet will consist of 38 dry bulk vessels upon completion of the aforementioned sale and the previously announced sale of a Panamax dry bulk vessel.

As of today, with a weighted average age of 9.96 years, the combined carrying capacity of the company's fleet, including the m/v Sideris GS and the m/v Coronis, is approximately 5.0 million dwt.

Through its ownership of dry bulk vessels, Diana Shipping Inc is a global provider of shipping transport services.

The vessels of the Company are primarily used on medium to long-term charters and transport a variety of dry bulk cargos along worldwide shipping routes, including commodities such as iron ore , coal, grain and other materials.
