Crystal forced to postpone new expedition ship launch

The launch of the new Crystal Endeavor was postponed by Crystal Expedition Cruises.

The news comes after the temporary closure of MV WERFTEN shipyards, which suspended ship production activities to protect its workers during the COVID-19 global pandemic, as most European manufacturing companies have said.

Through 31 October 2020, Crystal has therefore canceled all planned itineraries.

“We know that, like us, our guests have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to explore anew with Crystal aboard this groundbreaking ship, and we deeply regret that this change has become necessary and has disrupted our guests’ travel plans,” said Crystal’s president and CEO, Tom Wolber.

The company is specifically reaching out with rebooking options to guests and their travel advisors.
