Costa’s Savona Cruise Terminal becomes vaccination center

According to a statement from Carnival Corporation's Italian brand, Costa has turned its Savona cruise terminal into a coronavirus vaccine venue.

As part of the Silver Vaccine Day campaign in Italy, the terminal will first act as a vaccination site for people over 80 years old, with the ability to vaccinate approximately 600 people per day on the terminal's ground floor.

Costa noted that the terminal will serve as a vaccination site for other stages of the Italian vaccination program and will not have an effect on regularly scheduled cruises, as the terminal will vaccinate from Tuesday to Friday, enabling cruise ships to operate on Saturday, Sunday and Monday if necessary.
