Tallink Grupp reroutes its Baltic Princess and Galaxy

Tallink Grupp is announcing that it will temporarily re-route its Baltic Princess and Galaxy vessels to run on the Turku-Kapellskär route from 19 March 2020 to provide freight between Finland and Sweden.

The rerouting comes as European countries close borders, and travel restrictions are imposed due to the continuing situation of coronavirus. 

Baltic Princess will depart from Turku to Kapellskär at 20.30 local time on Thursday 19 March and will arrive in Kapellskär at 7.00 local time on Friday 20 March. It will then depart from Kapellskär to Turku again at 20.30 local time on Friday 20 March.

As planned, Galaxy will depart from Turku and Stockholm on March 19. Just passengers with one-way ticket will be able to fly from Sweden and all passengers will have the right to enter Finland under the existing travel restrictions. Galaxy's regular departures are canceled from 20 March 2020 and Galaxy will depart from Turku to Kapellskär at 20.30 local time on 20 March.

Every night at 20.30 local time Baltic Princess and Galaxy will depart from Turku and Kapellskär. 

Baltic Princess and Galaxy departures from 20 March will be made available to cargo transporters to ensure that goods pass between Finland and Sweden continuing. Vessels are not going to fly across the islands of Aland.
