Cyber protection classification for Hyundai's new LNG carrier from BV
The recently shipped "Elisa Larus" is listed by Bureau Veritas (BV), a global pioneer in testing, inspection and classification (TIC) services.

France LNG Shipping SAS (a French shipowning firm jointly owned by NYK and Geogas LNG*) has taken delivery of the Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries LNG carrier 'Elisa Larus' from South Korea. Bureau Veritas classifies the gas carrier with 174,000 cbm.
The new vessel was awarded a Cyber Security Notation from Bureau Veritas.
The BV cyber notations include protocols and methodologies for meeting information security architecture and operating criteria in compliance with IMO 2021 specifications, as well as the latest IACS recommendation 166.
"It is the first such award to an LNG carrier for a cyber notation," commented Jean-Baptiste Gillet, Advanced Services Manager, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore.
